As a local Independent councillor I have kept my commitments: I was successful in keeping our local hospital open when others were prepared to see it close. I secured the ambulance service in Baltinglass and prevented it being transferred to Naas. I secured additional capital funding for development of Baltinglass Hospital. I am presently in negotiations with the H.S.E regarding the setting up of a new primary health care service in the grounds of Baltinglass Hospital. This will be of huge benefit to the area.
